Norma Maxine Stanley

	Norma Maxine Stanley, 78, of DuQuoin, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2001 at 5:20 p.m. at Marshall Browning Hospital in DuQuoin.
	Mrs. Stanley was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
	 She was born July 27, 1922 at Freeburg, the daughter of David Earl and Sarah (Reese) Slusher.  She married Floren Gerald Stanley on December 24, 1949 at Pinckneyville and he preceded her in death on December 14, 1993.
	Surviving are three sons, Gerald Neville of Lisle, Tom Neville of Wheeling and Dean Stanley of Tamaroa; one daughter, Carolyn Kurtz of Madison, Wisc.; one step-daughter, Mary Ann Wise of Evansville, Ind.; two brothers, Delmar Slusher of Goodfield and Nelson Slusher of Tremont; two sisters, Thelma Kujawa of Pinckneyville and Margaret Guenther of East Peoria; 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
	She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, David; four brothers and two sisters.
	Funeral services were Sunday, June 3 at 1 p.m. at Neal-McClure Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bob Dickerson officiating.  Interment was in Old DuQuoin Cemetery.
	Friends called Neal-McClure Funeral Home Saturday, June 2 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. until time of service.
	Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
